PEOPLE WHO ROAR: 2010 Olympics Vancouver

The Olympics is one of the most dramatic positive occurrences in today’s day and age. The culmination of tremendous passion, training, living the life of an Olympian. These people are seen as heroes because this is a battle for gold against other countries in the most positive light possible. How can you win when you make someone lose? Some athlete think this way actually many do…Winning is something you give to yourself for all your hard work. Success comes when all your training and hours spent on the goal is ready for high pressure; when that gun shoots to start, race to the finish line type of pressure. The winter Olympics in Vancouver this year going on right now on NBC is amazing already! Being a native Californian, it’s warm here the winter sports is something to try not as a competitive sport. But wow! The daring and balance that goes into even getting good at these events is…AMAZING. Women’s Mobils they get down a steep hill with bumps and 2 jumps at around or under 30 seconds! It takes me 30+ minutes to get down the hill snowboarding although there are many other people in the way… Apolo Anton Ohno, at his 3rd Olympics he’s 27, got a silver the other night for the short track speed skating, it was a dramatic 4th place to 2nd place finish as the 2 Korean’s ahead fell on each other and took themselves out of the race…. The Olympics makes everyone proud of their country.

Stay Proud! All Olympians ROAR! Thank you for the Ups! and Downs!

Special thoughts and condolences to the Luger, Nodar Kumaritashvili that died during his Olympic practice run.
