Dear Team Captain Deepak,

Last year, Roar established itself as a team to be reckoned with at Project Angel Food’s Bowling for Angels! Roar sponsored 16 valiant bowlers for an incredibly generous $2000 and raised even more. Then, Roar clothed ABC7, the team with the Best Fundraising, and one of your own even won Best Bowler!

As you may recall, Project Angel Food is the only free meal-delivery program that serves men, women and children debilitated by life-threatening illnesses throughout Los Angeles County. Every week Project Angel Food staff and volunteers cook and deliver more than 10,000 meals to people in need throughout our community.

Project Angel Food is serving more people than ever in its 20-year history, and Bowling for Angels has grown right along. This year’s goal is $150,000. Those funds will immediately become a lot of healthy food for people in need.

Bowling for Angels 2009 is going to be Sunday, April 26, at Pickwick Bowling Center in Burbank. I hope you’ll join us by sponsoring a Roar Team again. Since Project Angel Food does not charge for its meal deliveries, the bowlers of Bowling for Angels are vital to their life-saving work.
